Eat 'em!!
If given a choice, most of us would most likely choose junk food, pizza, hamburgers, meat and chocolate inany form OVER ANY KIND OF VEGETABLE.
It is no wonder that our kids do the same.
But the fact is that kids will happily eat raw carrot sticks, snow peas, cucumbers slices, and avocado and munch on lettuce, dip celery sticks into hummus, eat broccoli florets.

Here are some tis to get kids started on the path to healthy eating:
- Start them off young. Offer a wide variety of vegetables at a young age, and be sure to offer them at every meal, including snack time.
- Limit the salty, sugary foods
. If they eat lots of salty, sugary foods regularly, of course they’re going to balk at the taste of a bland carrot stick.
- Get them involved with growing food. It is easy and fun to grow herbs and simple vegetables like tomatoes, beans and squash.
- Preparing meals
is fun!Decide on a meal plan, gather the fresh ingredients you need from the garden then make a shopping list for the rest, go shopping together and allow the kids to fill the cart, prepare the food and eat it!
- Kids can help clean and cut up vegetables and sort them by color or size. Make vegetable faces for a snack.
- Change your attitudes towards vegetables and the kids will, too
. Eat vegetables YOURSELF and EJOY them!
If the kids see YOU snacking on raw vegetables, then they are more likely give it a go too.
